I tell my students this again and again - but you need to have a copy of the mark schemes if you ever want to know exactly what you need to do to get the higher marks. Your teacher can explain it multiple times, but you will need to see the mark scheme to truly understand. So, I've recently been asked by a number of people about how to get into teaching or tutoring. Both have different paths but I will tell you how, based on my experience as a UK based teacher and tutor. things may be different for those who are international, so I apologise! To become a teacher you will need: A bachelors degree in any subject You will either go to university and get a PGCE [Post graduate certificate of education] or you can join the Teach First programme where you start teaching after 6-8 weeks of training and learn on the job Whereas to become a tutor there are no specific requirements, although most clients prefer you to have a degree in your chosen subject, some experience and a DBS [Criminal background check]. For those of you starting out, there are several websites you can sign up to, and you will eventually build up a client base from there and word of mouth.
